Hullo, I’m Admin M I suppose?  Or just Maddison. fsads  Sorry I’m not good at being ~*~*mysterious*~*~.  I’m also 18, I’m majoring in Communication Design at Texas State, with a minor in costume design.  I’ve been cosplaying for five or six years now I think, and the first convention I went to was small and rather wretched, and no longer exists.  BUT, it was amazing, I fell in love with cosplaying, and sewing too.  Which, I suppose would be my “specialty”.  I’m self taught, and will attempt to pull off pretty much anything, practical or not.

I’m interested in several BBC series, MLP, Adventure Time, Harry Potter, comics, any sort of crafting, anime and manga, though not as much as I once was (Nana is my favorite of both),  and I am madly in love with my Viking Emerald 116, Varna, and Rarity is my spirit animal.~

Hi! Iii am Admin Kay! I am 18 years old and a current theatre major at a local college, though I hope to transfer to TSU next semester. I have been cosplaying for about three or four years; my very first convention was A-Kon 20, but I have attended other conventions such as San Japan and, more recently, Ikkicon! I always attend cons with my best friend—our other lovely admin! She’s pretty freaking amazing.

I like plenty of things, but some of my favorite things are: Homestuck, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Adventure Time, Vocaloid, visual novels, anime and manga (Clannad is my absolute favorite!), reading and writing, cats, history, and, of course, cosplaying!

Hello, and welcome to Cosplay FAQs, a blog dedicated to helping our fellow cosplayers!
This blog is compromised mainly of four types of posts: inspirational cosplay photos, tips/tricks/tutorials, advice on conventions and critiques!
I think the inspirational cosplay photos are pretty self explanatory.  If we put them here, we like them!  And you can submit these to us as well, preferably with a link to the cosplayer if possible.
Same goes for the tips posts.  This blog is here to help, so we’ll be posting helpful things we find, as well as our own advice occasionally.  If you ever have a cosplay question, from sewing to wigs to photography to whateverelseIdontknow, just leave us an ask and we’ll find the information for you.
Convention advice should be especially helpful for beginners.  There are lots of DOs and DON’Ts at con, a lot of which most have to learn the hard way.  So we’re sharing our stories to give you a leg up and a few laughs, and any other seasoned cosplayers are welcome to share too!
The final category is critiques!  You may submit your own cosplay photos for the two us to give a constructive critique of.  If there are certain things you’d like us to focus on, or things you’d rather we not touch upon, please tell us in your submission.  Otherwise we’ll do a broad critique over your costume, wig, makeup, posing, ect. pointing out what you did well, and what you can work on.

NOTE: We will not discriminate against cosplayers for race, weight, gender, or any other silly reason!   We believe anyone can cosplay if they want to!  The main thing is to be sure you’re comfortable and having fun. <3
